Welcome to Hell Squad Week!

For all the Hell Squad fans, I have SO much Hell Squad goodness to share with you. Remember in Niko that our sexy (but dangerous) artist was making trading cards of all our squad soldiers? Well, I decided to make that a reality.

I commissioned a fabulous artist, MyCKs, who specializes in Sumi-style artwork (Japanese ink art) and watercolors. She has done a brilliant job bringing Hell Squad to life and I am thrilled to have the original paintings hanging in my office. She has done a painting for each of the Hell Squad soldiers (Hell Squad only so far! We might get to Squad Nine and the berserkers in the future).

So, EVERY DAY THIS WEEK, I will be sharing one of these fabulous pictures. Today, you’ll get to see the art for our scarred, fearless squad leader Marcus PLUS the cover reveal for the upcoming Hell Squad book, Theron.

I hope you’re looking forward the big, silent member of Squad Nine meeting his match in his best friend and fellow squad mate, Sienna. She has a tough battle on her hands!

Art Reveal: Marcus

Marcus’ face was rough, tough, and dominated by a large, ragged scar that ran down his cheek and across his neck. No one knew how he’d gotten it. Rumor said he’d charged a raptor raiding party in the early days after the invasion. That he’d killed them all with his bare hands and been given a slash during the fight for his trouble.

Elle had no idea if it was true, but she had no trouble believing he could do it.

    So glad to hear Theron has gone to print, I can hardly wait. I have been waiting excitedly for his story and his brother’s. I have a thing for hot bikers and military men. As a professional artist, in my humble opinion, the cover and cards are spot on. Every time I start one of your books everything stops until I finish reading it cover to cover.

      So happy to hear that, Mary! Now, Theron is actually the big, quiet guy on Squad Nine (with Mac, Taylor and the other ladies!) I think you are thinking of Tane…his story is coming but first we’ll get his brother Hemi. Hemi’s story will be right after Theron. Too many hot alpha heroes 😉

    Awesome! The artwork is so great and is a lovely idea to put faces on the characters. When I read I try to think of movie actors to impersonate the characters in my mind. Looking forward to Theron!

    Seeing those cards makes me think about how awesome it would be to read a manga version of Hell Squad (sort of like the work we see from Dabel Brothers or a similar company that could work with Ms. Hackett). I really love the cards 🙂

    What great art work! Right up there with Boris Vallejo! Love the Hell Squad series! These should be made into movies, instead of rehashes of already made movies (I mean, how many Godzilla and King Kong, Batman and Superman remakes do we need?). Plus these would make an excellent bday ores for me!

    Hiya, although I have loved the new gladiators series, it’s great that the focus is back on hellsquad. I’ve missed those guys 😉 , don’t let us forget the girls, they do kick some butt and keep the men in order! Perhaps some team squad cards next, love to see the that. Best wishes
